Demmocks, a senior sales manager with more than 30 years experience in IT for companies including Future Reality, Data Direct Networks, Isilon and Autodesk, will concentrate on bringing products and solutions to industries around the broadcast sector such as corporate and government video, pro AV, defence, police and emergency services.

“I’ve joined an expanding team at Magna at a very exciting time,” says Demmocks. “Magna’s policy to geo-diversify its offices, skills and knowledge base has paid dividends and is the main reason the company is still going strong after 45 years. Magna is always bringing on board clever, new partners such as Maxicaster, the online TV and multi-screen solution, and we intend to team up with many more that are relevant and synergistic to our software products.”

Magna Systems director of engineering Barry Pegg adds, “Having Dave join us is part of our goal of increasing, deepening and widening the digital solutions we can offer across many different industries. Dave has a wealth of IT knowledge and along with the rest of the team, will also be researching new products for all of our clients in the Asia Pacific region.”

Headquartered in Sydney, Magna began in 1968 as a specialist supplier to the broadcast and communications industry. The company offers more than 50 brands to markets in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia, with engineering and operation expertise in broadcast, telecommunications, satellite earth stations, post production and station automation.
