9 January 2018

ClearOne has been awarded a new patent relating to ClearOne’s video streaming technology.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued United States Patent number 9,807,408 to ClearOne. This patent, entitled, ‘A Control Mechanism for Video Output, enables, among other things, all of the video decoders playing back a stream of video to stay synchronised with the encoder, eliminating jerky, stuttering, video playback. This invention is used in the ClearOne VIEW Pro D110 decoder, the ultimate solution in the market today for synchronised video streaming.

The company has also been awarded a new patent relating to speech technology. This patent, entitled ‘Method for Adding Realism to Synthetic Speech,’ among other things, can be used to create “speech fonts” that allow a user to have their messages read using the voice of anyone who has authorised the use of their voice patterns for synthetic speech.

These new patents are part of ClearOne’s growing patent portfolio that currently includes over 100 patents and pending patent applications covering multiple new technologies in the fields of audio and video processing, audio and video streaming, and innovative communication technologies.
