MATROX RELEASES C-SERIES GRAPHICS CARDS
Matrox Graphics has announced the first two cards in its C-Series of multi-display graphics cards – the C420 quad-output and the C680 six-output PCI Express. Both offer 2GB memory and mini DisplayPort connectivity for AV, control room, digital signage, enterprise, industrial, security and embedded system applications.
The low-profile C420 quad card supports up to four displays with a maximum resolution of 2560×1600. With passive cooling for increased reliability and silent operation, its low power consumption suits small-form-factor and embedded systems. The single-slot Matrox C680 supports up to six displays or projectors and is compatible with Ultra-HD and 4K panels, making it ideal for multi-screen workstation setups (and more displays can be supported by inserting two C680 cards into a system). Board-to-board framelock ensures synchronisation of all displays with reduced tearing on digital signage and video walls.
Both new cards work with Matrox’s PowerDesk desktop management software for Windows that lets users easily configure and manage multi-display setups with tools to control display configurations including stretched or independent desktops, clone mode, pivot, bezel management and edge overlap.
“This introduction of C-Series expands our line of multi-display graphics cards to offer our customers higher performance, higher display density solutions,” says Matrox business development manager Caroline Injoyan. “We will continue to support our professional users with the premium technical assistance, long product life cycles and easy-to-use PowerDesk desktop management software that Matrox is known for.”
