Career Opportunity: Audio Visual Presale Engineer

The Opportunity

A key role within this AV integration business quoting on and responding to tenders for commercial integrated systems incorporating the latest in audio visual technologies. Projects include AV systems in government buildings, schools, stadiums and office environments. As audio visual presales engineer, you will assist the sales team and delivery team by completing detailed proposals and quotes based on high-level designs, then producing more detailed designs and schematics for use by the installation team. You will enjoy a high level of input into project design and value engineering with support from highly experienced colleagues, leveraging your knowledge of AV technology and systems integration. There will also be the opportunity to meet and build relationships with end-user clients, as well as technology vendors and distributors. Skills Required

A strong understanding of integrated AV systems is essential to succeed in this role. Experience quoting and responding to tenders on a range of AV technology integration applications in residential and/or commercial environments would be ideal. Along with your technical knowledge, a good commercial understanding of AV projects and awareness of where profit is made and lost on projects is needed. Knowledge of estimating software (such as D-tools) would be an advantage. A background in AV installation as well as CAD/Visio skills and customer facing experience will be highly regarded. AVIXA or CEDIA certification will be highly regarded.
